I believe I have done this correct and I was able to convert MKV to Mp4 but am I doing it correctly?
1. Use MKVExtractGUI to open MKV video and extract into .h264 video, .audio, .chapter/txt
(Here is where I am iffy about)
2. Use My Mp4Box GUI:
A) MUX => Add .h264 video=> MUX into video.MP4 (Default settings- same FPS)
B) Then MUX add .Audio=> audio.MP4 (Default settings, same FPS)
C) Then click on Join and join Video.mp4 + Audio.mp4 => Finished converted MP4 video
It seems to work, but when I click on Join, it says 'Formats do not match, errors may occur.' So this is where I am wondering... Am I doing it correctly?
Thanks in advance.
Mkvmerge Mp4
Mkvmerge: MP4 reader: for h.264/AVC tracks that don’t have an AVCConfigurationBox (avcC atom) in their sample description (stsd) atom or whose avcC atom contains no content mkvmerge will now re-derive the AVCConfigurationBox from the bitstream. Implements #2995. MKVToolNix is a set of tools to create, alter and inspect Matroska files under Linux, other Unices and Windows. Since May 1st 2003, the Matroska libraries themselves and my Matroska tools are officially available. I urge you to download the software, use it and report any errors you encounter to me. The solution: Convert your MKV files to MP4. MP4 is compatible with most devices and apps, and you won’t lose much quality (if any) to the conversion process. The Simplest Solution: Use VLC. VLC is an open source media player, one of the few that can play MKV, but it also has a hidden option for converting video.
